Louisiana plays a pivotal role in our nation's aviation and military history, which the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum strives to promote and preserve. The museum is housed in one of the last remaining buildings used by the Selman Field Army-Air Corps Navigation School. It features exhibits about Louisiana natives Gen. Claire Lee Chennault and astronaut Jim Halsell, as well as on Selman Field itself. Additional exhibits include vintage equipment and the history of Delta Air Lines.
